Or as we call it around here, urban necrophilia. There are so many beautiful, thriving, reconstructed places in Detroit. Most of the Theatre District, almost all of midtown, even the (in)famous Cass Corridor are places you can take your kids. I’m not saying the decay isn’t beautiful in its own right. But I wish people would stop putting the ‘once-’ in front of great. We’re still here.
